Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

TAILLAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Pull back the rear compartment trim in order to access the taillamp. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear in Trunk/Liftgate.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the taillamp (3).
3. Remove the bulb/socket from the taillamp.
4. Remove the bulb from the socket if required.
5. Remove the nuts (2) from the taillamp.
6. Remove the tail lamp from the quarter panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Electrical Wiring Routing Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Position the taillamp to the quarter panel.
2. Align the taillamp to the rear compartment lid applique.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the nuts (2) to the taillamp.

Tighten
Tighten the taillamps nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

4. Install the bulb to the socket, if required.
5. Install the bulb/socket (3) to the taillamp.
6. Connect the electrical connector to the taillamp (3).
