Ignition Switch

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement-On Vehicle.
2. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement-On Vehicle (Without Key) or Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement-On Vehicle (With Key).





3. Remove the 2 TORX head screws (2) from the ignition switch (3).
4. Remove the ignition switch (3) from the steering column (1).
5. Remove the electrical connectors from the ignition switch.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the electrical connectors to the ignition switch.





2. Install the ignition switch (3) to the steering column (1).

Notice Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the 2 TORX head screws (2) to the ignition switch (3).
- Tighten the screws to 4 Nm (36 inch lbs.).
4. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement-On Vehicle (Without Key) or Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement-On Vehicle (With Key).
5. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement-On Vehicle.
