Carpet Wet On Driver's Side (Seal Sheet Metal Seam)

Condition
Some customers may comment that the carpeting is wet on the driver's side.

Cause




This condition may be due to lack of body sealer at the bulk head just above the throttle cable. Refer to the illustration above.

Correction
Reseal the bulk head.
1. Clean the area with denatured alcohol.




2. Apply a bead of *Kent High Tech Clear Seam Sealer, P/N 10200, to the area. Refer to the illustration above.
3. Let the sealer dry and check for leaks.
