Shift Lever - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precaution.

1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers.





3. Remove the wire harness assembly from the wire restraint clip (1).
4. Remove the wire harness straps.





5. Disconnect the shift lever connector.





6. Slide the shift lever seal (2) up the shift lever (4).
7. Remove the shift lever screw (3).
8. Remove the shift lever (4).
9. Remove the shift lever seal (2) from the shift lever (4).
