P/S Pressure Hose Replacement
Power Steering Pressure Hose Replacement (3.8L)Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Place a drain pan under the power steering pump (7) and the power steering gear (5).
3. Remove the power steering pressure hose (6) from the power steering pump (7).
4. Remove the power steering pressure hose (6) from the power steering gear (5).
5. Remove the power steering pressure hose (6) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the power steering pressure hose (6) to the vehicle.
2. Install the power steering pressure hose (6) to the power steering gear (5).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the power steering pressure hose (6) to the power steering gear (5).
- Tighten the fitting to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the power steering pressure hose (6) to the power steering pump (7).
- Tighten the fitting to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Bleed the power steering system.
