Diagnostic System Check - Seat Belts

TEST DESCRIPTION

Steps 1-6:

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
1. This step tests to see if the fasten safety belt indicator operates properly.
2. This step tests to see if the scan tool powers up.
3. This step tests to see if the scan tool can communicate with the Body Control Module (BCM).
4. This step tests to see if there are any current or history Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present.
5. This step tests to see if there are any communication DTCs, or U-codes, present.
6. This step tests to see if an ECU malfunction, DTC B1000, is present.
