Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

Caution: Refer to SIR in Service Precautions.





1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
2. Remove the lock housing assembly.
3. Remove the switch actuator pivot pin 12) from the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly (1).
4. If removal of the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly (1) is not needed let the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly (1) hang freely.
5. Remove the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly (1J from the LOCK housing cover and sleeve assembly following these steps:
5.1. Remove the wire protector shield.
5.2. Remove the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly connector from the bulk head connector.

Important: Use caution when pulling the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly wire harness through the steering column.

5.3. Pull the wire harness through the steering column.
