Diagnostic Aids
Inspect for broken gears, chipped gears, or for worn synchronizers that may cause the transmission to jump out of gear. Also inspect for loose or damaged mount bolts.

Test Description
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic tables.
4. This step inspects for loose mounts that will cause the vehicle to jump out of gear during acceleration.
6. This step inspects for worn or damaged mounts.
8. This step inspects for worn or damaged internal carts.
