Trim Pad Replacement - IP Upper

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the windshield side garnish moldings.
2. Gently lift the instrument panel (IP) trim pad (2) in order to disengage the fasteners (1).




3. Rotate the daytime running lamp (DRL) ambient light sensor (3).
4. Remove the DRL ambient light sensor (3) from the IP upper trim pad (2)
5. Rotate the security indicator lamp (1).
6. Remove the security indicator lamp (1) from the IP upper trim pad (2).




7. Remove the IP upper trim panel (2) from the IP carrier.

Installation Procedure




1. Set the IP trim pad (2) into place on the IP carrier.




2. Install the security indicator lamp (1) to the opening in the IP upper trim pad (2).
3. Rotate the security indicator lamp (1) to secure.
4. Install the DRL ambient light sensor (3) to the opening in the IP upper trim pad (2)
5. Rotate the daytime running lamp (DRL) ambient light sensor (3) to secure.




6. Using the locator pins (3), align the IP upper trim panel (2).
7. Apply pressure to the rear of the IP upper trim panel (2), engaging the dual lock fasteners (1).
8. Apply pressure to the front of the IP upper trim panel (2), engaging the dual lock fasteners (1).
9. Install the windshield side garnish moldings.
