Radiator Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Recover the air conditioning system.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Remove the radiator inlet hose.
4. Remove the radiator outlet hose.
5. Remove the evaporator tube bolt.
6. Remove the evaporator tube from the condenser.





7. Remove the upper transmission oil cooler line from the radiator.
8. Remove the fan shroud.
9. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
10. Remove the lower transmission oil cooler line from the radiator.





11. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir hose from the radiator.
12. Remove the condenser inlet line from the condenser.





13. Remove the radiator and the condenser assembly from the vehicle.





14. Remove the condenser from the radiator.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the condenser to the radiator.





2. Install the radiator and the condenser assembly to the vehicle.
3. Install the fan shroud.





4. Install the coolant recovery reservoir hose to the radiator.
5. Install the condenser tube to the condenser.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





6. Install the A/C condenser tube nut.
^ Tighten the nut to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).





7. Install the lower transmission oil cooler line to the radiator.
^ Tighten the lower oil cooler line to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the upper transmission oil cooler line to the radiator.
^ Tighten the upper oil cooler line to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).





9. Install the radiator outlet hose.
10. Install the radiator inlet hose.
11. Fill cooling system.
12. Recharge the air conditioning system.
