Change Engine Oil

The IPC illuminates the OIL CHANGE indicator when the PCM determines the engine oil needs to be changed The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM requesting illumination. After the oil is changed, reset the engine oil monitor. Refer to GM Oil Life System - Resetting in Maintenance and Lubrication.
