Heater Hose Replacement - Inlet

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
2. Remove the inlet heater hose from the water pump.




3. Remove the bolt attaching the inlet heater hose bracket from the mid rail.

NOTE: Do not apply excessive force on the heater core pipes during hose removal. Applying excessive force on the heater core pipes may damage the heater core pipes.




4. Remove the inlet heater hose from the heater core.
5. Remove the inlet heater hose from the frame rail clip.
6. Remove the inlet and outlet heater hoses from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the inlet heater hose to the vehicle.
2. Install the inlet heater hose to the frame rail clip.
3. Install the inlet heater hose to the heater core.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




4. Install the bolt attaching the inlet heater hose bracket to the mid rail.

Tighten
Tighten the heater hose bracket bolt to 14 N.m (10 lb ft).




5. Install the inlet heater hose to the water pump.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
