Classifying the Symptom
Propeller shaft symptoms can usually be classified into the following categories:
^ Leaks
^ Noises
^ Vibrations

Visual/Physical Inspection
^ Inspect the system for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the propeller shaft.
^ Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.
