Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
Tools Required
- J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the front fender liners as required to access the front fascia to fender bolts Service and Repair.
2. Remove the front fascia to fender bolts (2).
3. Remove the push-in retainers from the top of the front fascia (1).
4. Remove the push-in retainers from the bottom of the front fascia (4).
5. Remove the front fascia from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the front bumper fascia on the vehicle.
2. Install the push-in retainers (1) to the top of the front bumper fascia.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
3. Install the front bumper fascia to fender bolts (2).
Tighten
Tighten the front bumper fascia to fender bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Install the front fender liner Service and Repair.
5. Install the push-in retainers (4) to the bottom of the fascia to the bottom of the fascia.
