Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Inboard)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the retainers (2) from the outboard instrument panel (IP) insulator.
2. Remove the outboard IP insulators.




3. Remove the IP insulator screws.
4. Slide the IP insulator from the HVAC module. Disconnect the defroster duct from the IP insulator.
5. Remove the inboard IP insulator.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the inboard IP insulator to the lower IP.
2. Connect the defroster duct to the IP insulator. Slide the IP insulator to the HVAC module.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Important: Place the shift interlock cable in the notch when you install the screw to the HVAC module.

3. Install the IP insulator screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




4. Install the outboard IP insulator.
5. Install the outboard IP insulator retainers (2).
