Sunroof Guide Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Close the sunroof.
2. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle.
3. Remove the glass panel.
4. Remove the sunshade panel.
5. Remove the finishing lace.
6. Remove the sunroof motor.
7. Remove both rivets from the sunroof tube retainers (located on the motor bracket).
8. Remove the sunroof track screws.
9. Remove the tie wraps holding the drive tube to the retaining tube.
10. Pull the cable out of the plastic return tube.
11. Push the track assembly (9) inwards in order to remove the sunroof track and lifter arm assembly.
12. Remove the sunroof drive retainer (10) from the end of the track and the copper drive tube.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Feed the sunroof drive cable through the copper drive tube.
2. Install the sunroof drive tube retainer with the copper drive tube into the track end.
3. Install the sunroof track and lifter assembly into the module frame.
4. Feed the sunroof drive cable through the plastic return tube.
5. Align the track. Ensure that the track is parallel and that there is 666 mm between the left and the right track at the front and the rear of the track.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

6. Install the sunroof track screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to fully driven and fully seated. Do not strip the screws.

7. Install the sunroof tube retainers to the motor bracket (10).
8. Install the rivet to the sunroof tube retainer.
9. Verify that the forward glass adjustment screw hole in the lifter arm is in alignment with the small hole in the cable cam assembly. If required, push the lifter arm and/or the cable cam forward in order to align the 2 holes.
10. Install the sunroof motor.
11. Tie wrap the drive and the return tubes together.
12. Install the finishing lace.
13. Install the sunshade panel.
14. Install the glass panel.
15. Install the power sunroof into the vehicle.
