Camshaft Cover Installation





1. Assemble the camshaft cover and gasket, use care to make sure that the gasket is located in the retaining groove in the camshaft cover.
2. Install the cover on the cylinder head and hand start the bolts.





3. Install the ground strap.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the camshaft cover bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
Tighten the camshaft cover ground strap bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





4. Install spark plugs.
Tighten spark plugs to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).





5. Install the ignition coil and module assembly to the cam cover.
Tighten the ignition coil and module assembly bolts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).





6. Install the power steering pump.
Tighten the power steering pump to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
