Door Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear door trim panel.
2. Remove the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear (Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear) .
3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the rear door outer energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Outer Rear (Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Outer Rear) .
5. Remove the rear door inner window sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
6. Remove the rear door stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary (Adjustments) .
7. Remove the rear door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique Replacement - Rear () .
8. Remove the rear door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
9. Remove the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside (Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement) .
10. Remove the rear door inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement) .
11. Remove the rear door lock. Refer to Lock Replacement - Rear Door (Lock Replacement - Rear Door) .
12. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Window (Service and Repair)
13. Remove the rear door window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door Service and Repair
14. Disconnect the wiring harness.
15. Remove the rear door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Bottom Auxiliary (Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement) .
16. Remove the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door (Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door) .
17. Remove the rear door side molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.
18. Remove the rear door lower finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Door Lower () in Exterior Trim.




19. Support the rear door.
20. Remove the intermediate rear door hinge bolts.
21. Remove the rear door, with an assistant.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the rear door, with an assistant.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the intermediate rear door hinge bolts.

Tighten the intermediate rear door hinge bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

3. Remove the rear door support.
4. Install the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door (Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door) .
5. Install the rear door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Bottom Auxiliary (Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement) .
6. Connect the wiring harness.
7. Install the rear door window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door Service and Repair
8. Install the rear door window weatherstrip.
9. Install the rear door lock. Refer to Lock Replacement - Rear Door (Lock Replacement - Rear Door) .
10. Install the rear door inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement) .
11. Install the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside (Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement) .
12. Install the rear door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
13. Install the rear door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique Replacement - Rear () .
14. Install the rear door stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary (Adjustments) .
15. Install the rear door window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
16. Install the rear door outer energy absorber pad. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
17. Install the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear (Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear) .
18. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
19. Install the rear door trim panel.
20. Adjust the rear door. Refer to Door Adjustment - Rear (Adjustments) .
21. Install the rear door side molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.
22. Install the rear door lower finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Door Lower () in Exterior Trim.
