Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Stationary) (Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Stationary))Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding) (Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding)) in Seats.
3. Remove the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Coupe) (Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Coupe))Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Sedan).
4. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Coupe) (Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Coupe))Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Sedan) (Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Sedan)) .
5. Remove the rear seat belts from the T-slots in the rear window trim panel.
6. Remove the push-in retainers from the rear window trim panel using J 38778 .
7. Remove the rear shelf trim panel.



Installation Procedure





1. Slide in the rear shelf trim panel. Make sure it goes under the Hight Mount Stop Lamp housing.
2. Install the safety belts into the T-slots in the rear window trim panel.
3. Install the push-in retainers to the rear window trim panel.
4. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Coupe) (Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Coupe))Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Sedan) (Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (Sedan)) .
5. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Coupe) (Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Coupe))Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Sedan).
6. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Stationary) (Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Stationary))Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding) (Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding)) in Seats.
7. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
