Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Center Pillar

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


Removal Procedure

1. Open the upper guide loop attachment cover of the front seat belt.
2. Remove the upper seat belt guide loop attachment nut.
3. Pull the door weatherstrip from the pinchweld flange as required.




4. Remove the upper trim panel from the center pillar using J 38778 .
5. Remove the upper trim panel from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the upper trim panel to the center pillar.
2. Press firmly on the upper trim panel until the retainers are fully seated.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the guide loop attachment nut.

Tighten the guide loop attachment nut to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

4. Close the upper guide loop attachment cover of the front seat belt.
5. Install the door weatherstrip to the pinchweld flange.
