Change Engine Oil

The DIC illuminates the CHANGE OIL SOON indicator when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) determines that the engine oil should be changed. The DIC receives a discrete input from the PCM requesting illumination. When this indicator is on, the BCM activates the audible warning. After the oil is changed, reset the engine oil monitor.
