Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

Window Replacement - Front Door

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door Service and Repair
3. Remove the front door inner energy absorber pad (coupe). Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Front (Coupe).
4. Remove the front door inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
5. Remove the window to regulator bolts (2).




6. Remove the front door window from the front door.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the front door window between the inner and the outer panels.
2. Point the lower front corner of the front door window down.
3. Pass the front door window through the belt opening.
Align the edges with the door window weatherstrip.
4. Turn the front door window to the horizontal position.
Align the holes in the front door window with the holes in the front door window regulator.
5. Ensure that both sealing lips on the front door outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downward.
If this condition is present, the front door window will not raise properly.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Install the bolts to the front door window regulator (2) (forward bolt first).

Tighten the front door window regulator bolt (2) to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

7. Install the bolt to the front door window regulator (2) (Install the rearward bolt second).

Tighten the front door window regulator bolt (2) to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

8. Install the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
9. Install the front door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Front (Coupe).
10. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door Service and Repair
11. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
