Window Run Channel Replacement - Rear Door

Removal Procedure

The rear door stationary window is part of the door window weatherstrip. If the stationary window needs service, replace the entire door window weatherstrip.





1. Place the rear door window in the full down position.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair.
3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear.
5. Remove the rear door inner sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
6. Remove the rear door stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary (Adjustments) .
7. Remove the bolts from the rear door window weatherstrip.




8. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip from the rear door.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the rear door window weatherstrip to the rear door starting in the corner. Work in both directions.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts to the window weatherstrip.

Tighten the rear door window weatherstrip bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Close the rear door window.
4. Inspect the rear door window in order to ensure the window is properly positioned in the rear door window weatherstrip.
5. Install the rear door stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary (Adjustments) .
6. Install the rear door inner sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
7. Install the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear.
8. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
9. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
