Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair

SECONDARY AIR INJECTION (AIR) VACUUM CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the vacuum lines (4) from the solenoid (3).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the solenoid (3).
3. Remove the solenoid fastener.
4. Remove the solenoid (3) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the solenoid (3) and fastener to the mounting bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

2. Connect the vacuum lines (4) to the solenoid (3).
3. Connect the electrical connector (2) lo the solenoid (3).
