Supercharger Cleaning and Inspection1. Clean the lower intake manifold to supercharger mating surfaces.
2. Clean the supercharger.
^ A small amount of oil weepage from the front oil seal is normal.
^ Dripping or puddling is not normal and the supercharger should be replaced.
3. Inspect the supercharger for damage.
4. Remove the supercharger oil plug (1).
5. Inspect the supercharger oil level.
^ The oil level should reach the bottom of the threads in the inspection hole.
^ The superchargers oiling system holds 8 oz. of GM P/N United States 12345982, GM P/N Canada 10953513 synthetic oil.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Install the supercharger oil plug (1).
^ Tighten the supercharger oil plug to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
7. Clean the throttle body mating surface.
8. Inspect the supercharger pulley for damage.
