Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly -Disassemble - Off Vehicle

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers.
3. Remove the wire harness assembly (1) from the wire harness strap (2). Remove the wire harness straps from the steering column and the wire harness assembly (1).





4. Slide the 2 connectors (2) of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly out of the bulkhead connector (1).





5. Slide the PASSKEYS III(2) off of the electronic lock module assembly (1).





6. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the electronic lock module assembly (2).
6.1. Rotate the key alarm connector (1) 90 degrees.
6.2. Pull the key alarm connector (1) out of the electronic lock module assembly (2).





7. Remove the connector (2) from the electric park lock (3).
8. Remove the TORX head screw (1) from the electric park lock (3).
9. Remove the electric park lock (3).





10. Remove the 2 tapping screws (2) from the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (1).
11. Remove the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (1) from the electronic lock module assembly.
