Carpet Retainer Replacement (Coupe)

Removal Procedure

1. Disengage the tab at the hood latch release handle (left side only).
2. Pull out to disengage the retainers from the windshield garnish molding by the carpet retainer.




3. Starting at the rear, pull the carpet retainer upward to disengage the retaining clips.
4. Remove the carpet retainer (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the rear carpet retainer (1) aligning the retaining clips.
2. Apply pressure to assure the retainers lock into place at all locations.
3. Press in on the windshield garnish mold to engage its retainers.
4. Engage the tab at the hood latch release handle (left side only). Ensure that the unit is retained.
