Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

1. Remove the rear seatback.
2. Remove the coat hook.




3. Use a J 38778 to remove the pushing retainer (1) from the quarter panel extension.
4. Remove the quarter trim panel extension (2).
5. Pull the quarter trim panel to disengage the retainers on the back side of the trim panel.




6. Remove the quarter trim panel (1) from the inner quarter panel.
7. Remove the front seat retractor side belt (2) through the opening in the quarter trim panel (1).
8. Remove the rear quarter panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the quarter trim panel in the vehicle.
2. Install the front seat retractor side belt (2) through the opening in the quarter trim panel.
3. Position the quarter trim panel (1) aligning the retainers.
4. Apply pressure to assure the retainers lock into place at all locations.




5. Install the quarter trim panel extension (2).
6. Install the push retainer (1) to the quarter trim panel extension.
7. Install the coat hook.
8. Install the rear seatback assembly.
