Lock Replacement - Rear Door

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the rear door trim panel.
2. Remove the rear door water deflector.
3. Remove the inside door handle.
4. Remove the rear door lock screws.




5. Remove the rear door outside handle.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector to the power lock, if equipped.
7. Remove the door lock.
8. Remove the inside handle rod, and lock rod from the lock.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the inside handle rod, and lock rod to the lock.
2. Position the lock in the rear door.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the power lock.
4. Install the rear door outside handle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




5. Install the rear door lock screws in sequence.

Tighten
5.1. Tighten the top rear door lock screw (1) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
5.2. Tighten the bottom rear door lock screw (2) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
5.3. Tighten the middle rear door lock screw (3) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

6. Install the inside door handle.
7. Install the rear door water deflector.
8. Install the rear door trim panel.
