Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Installation





Important: When the rocker arms are installed, lubricate the pivot bearings valve tips, and push rod sockets of the rocker arms with engine assembly prelude GM P/N United States 1052367, GM P/N Canada 992869.

1. Lubricate the rocker arms pivot bearings valve tips and push rod sockets with GM P/N United States 1052367, GM P/N Canada 992869, or equivalent.
2. Install the pushrods. Ensure that the pushrods seat in the lifters.





3. Install the rocker arms.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Important: Do not over tighten the rocker arm bolts.

4. Ensure that the locating tab on the rocker pivot is properly aligned with the notch in the cylinder head.
^ Tighten the rocker arm bolts to 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
