DESCRIPTION
The Engine Cranks but Does Not Run diagnostic table assumes the following:
^ The battery is completely charged. Refer to Battery Inspection/Test in Starting and Charging. Battery Inspection/Test
^ The engine cranking speed is within the specifications. Refer to Engine Cranks Slowly in Computers and Control Systems. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
^ Adequate fuel is in the fuel tank.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Test and inspect for the following conditions:
^ Fuel contamination - Refer to Alcohol/Contaminants-in-Fuel Diagnosis (Without Special Tool) or Alcohol/Contaminants-in-Fuel Diagnosis (With Special Tool). Component Tests and General Diagnostics Component Tests and General Diagnostics
