Antenna: Service and Repair

FIXED ANTENNA REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTE: Use tape on the tool surface so that you do not damage the paint on the antenna mast.




1. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel to gain access to the antenna.
2. Remove the antenna mast (2) from the antenna base (1).
3. Disconnect the antenna lead-in (4) from the antenna base (1).
4. Remove the antenna base screws (5) from the bracket on the antenna base (1).
5. Remove the antenna base from the antenna mounting spacer (3) and the wheelhouse pinchweld flange.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the antenna lead-in (4) to the antenna base (1).
2. Install the antenna base (1) to the antenna mounting spacer (3) until fully seated while alining the antenna base bracket to the upper hole in the pinchweld flange of the inner wheelhouse.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the antenna base screws (5) to the bracket on the antenna base (1).

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the antenna mast (2) to the antenna base (1).
5. Reposition the rear compartment trim panel.
