Steering Column Tilt Head Housing -Disassemble - Off VehicleTools Required
^ J23653-SIR Steering Column Lock Plate Compressor
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.
3. Remove and dispose of the bearing retainer using J23653-SIR and J42137.
4. Remove the shaft lock (1).
5. Remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2).
6. Remove the upper bearing spring (3).
7. Remove the upper bearing inner race seat (4)
8. Remove the inner race (5).
