Lock Cylinder Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel.
2. Disconnect the cable from the lock cylinder.
3. Remove the applique.
4. Remove the nuts (3) retaining the lock cylinder (2) to the lid (1).
5. Remove the lock cylinder (2) from the lid (1).


Installation Procedure





1. Install the lock cylinder (2) to the lid (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the nuts (3) in order to retain the lock cylinder (2) to the lid (1).

Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Connect the cable to the lock cylinder.
4. Install the applique.
5. Install the rear compartment lid trim panel.
