Storage Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P)

Removal Procedure

1. Open the instrument panel storage compartment door.




2. Remove the fasteners that secure the storage compartment to the instrument panel, including the check strap.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector for the rear compartment release switch.
4. Remove the storage compartment from the instrument panel by pulling toward the rear of the vehicle.


Installation Procedure





1. Connect the electrical connector for the rear compartment release switch.
2. Install the storage compartment to the instrument panel by sliding in toward the front of the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the storage compartment fasteners to the instrument panel.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Close the instrument panel storage compartment door.
