Seat Replacement - Front Bucket
Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in Restraint Systems.
2. Move the seat to the full forward position.
3. Remove the rear seat track fastener trim cover on the inboard seat track.
4. Remove the rear seat track trim cover (1) from the outboard seat track.
5. Remove the seat track fastener trim cover (1) on the outboard track by pushing the cover out from the inside of the seat track with a flat bladed tool.
6. Remove the seat track bolts.
7. Move the seat to the full rearward position.
8. Remove the front seat track fastener trim covers.
9. Remove the front seat track bolts.
10. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
11. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the seat into the vehicle.
2. With seat tilted forward, connect the electrical connectors.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Lower the rear of the seat and install the bolts.
Tighten the seat bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
4. Install the seat track fastener trim covers.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the forward seat track bolts.
Tighten the seat bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
6. Install the front seat track cover.
7. Reposition the seat.
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 orSIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in Seat Belts.
