Shift Lever Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
3. Remove the steering column trim covers.





4. Remove the TORX head fastener that secures the shift lever to the shift control.
5. Pull upward to remove the shift lever from the shift control.

Installation Procedure





1. Push downward to engage the shift lever into the shift control.
2. Install the TORX head fastener.
3. Install the steering column trim covers.
4. Install the steering column.
5. Enable the SIR system.
