Compact Disc Player (CD): Service and Repair

REMOTE CD PLAYER REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the right side rear compartment trim.




3. Remove the fasteners from the CD mounting bracket to the rear compartment.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear compartment CD player.




5. Remove the CD player to mounting bracket fasteners.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the CD player into the mounting bracket.
2. Install the fasteners.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




3. Install the CD player and bracket into the rear compartment.
4. Connect the electrical connectors.
5. Install the fasteners to the rear compartment C/D player.

Tighten
Tighten the rear compartment CD player fasteners to 9 N.m(80 lb in).

6. Install the rear compartment trim.
7. Close the rear compartment.
