The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
3. This step determines if the DDM recognizes the lockout switch input from the DDSA. The scan tool will normally display Idle for the Window Lockout Switch until the window lockout switch button is pressed. At that time the scan tool should momentarily display Active, and then return to Idle.
4. This step determines if the indicator is operating properly. When the ignition key is first turned On, the indicator on the window lockout switch button should not be illuminated. The indicator should illuminate when the switch button is first pressed. The indicator should then go out if the switch button is pressed a second time.
