Fuel Door: Description and Operation

FUEL FILL DOOR DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

The fuel door lock and unlock system is operated when the doors are locked or unlocked. The fuel fill door system contains the following components:
- Rear Integration Module (RIM)
- Fuel Door Lock/Unlock Solenoid
- F/TNK DR Lock Relay
- F/TNK DR REL Relay

When the RIM receives a lock or unlock input from the door system the fuel door lock or unlock relay will be grounded through the RIM. When either relay is grounded the fuel door lock/unlock solenoid is energized and the fuel door will lock or unlock.
