Access Cover Replacement - Front Door

ACCESS COVER REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the door water deflector.




3. Remove the nuts from the access cover.
4. Remove the regulator drive cable from the rear of the cover plate and remove the cover plate from the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the access cover in the door.




2. Install the nuts to the access cover plate.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the access cover plate nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the regulator drive cable (1) to the rear of the cover plate.

IMPORTANT: The regulator drive cable goes into position (2) for the coupe and position (3) for the sedan.

4. Install the water deflector.
5. Install the door trim panel.
