Front Fender: Service and Repair





Front Fender Replacement

Removal Procedure

Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

1. Open the hood.
2. Tape the corners of the fender and adjacent panels in order to protect the fender from paint damage.
3. Remove the hood hinge.
4. Remove the front fender liner.
5. Remove the front bumper fascia from the front fender.
6. Remove the rocker panel molding.




7. Remove the front fender rear brace bolt.




8. Remove the front fender rear bracket bolt from the fender.




9. Remove the front fender front brace bolt from the body.




10. Remove the front fender lower bolts.




11. Remove the front fender upper bolts.
12. Remove the front fender from the vehicle.
13. Remove the body side molding, if required.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the front fender to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the front fender upper bolts.

Tighten the front fender upper bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




3. Install the front fender lower bolts.

Tighten the front fender lower bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




4. Install the front fender front brace bolt to the body.

Tighten the front fender front brace bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




5. Install the front fender rear center bracket to the front fender bolt.

Tighten the front fender rear center bracket to the front fender bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




6. Install the front fender rear brace bolt.

Tighten the front fender rear brace bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

7. Install the rocker panel molding.
8. Install the bumper fascia to the front fender.
9. Install the front fender liner.
10. Install the hood hinge.
11. Remove the tape from the edges of the fender.
12. Close the hood.
