Carpet Replacement - Front
Removal Procedure
The floor carpet is a molded, one-piece design.
1. Remove the front seats.
2. Remove the console assembly.
3. Remove the front door carpet retainer.
4. On the sedan, remove the rear door carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement - Rear.
5. Remove the anchor bolt for the front shoulder belt from the floor pan.
6. Remove the lower trim panel from the center pillar.
7. On the coupe, remove the lower rear quarter trim panel.
8. Remove the floor carpet.
Installation Procedure
Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.
1. Position the floor carpet.
2. On the coupe, install the lower rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower.
3. Install the lower trim panel on the center pillar.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the front shoulder belt to the floor pan. Secure the belt with the anchor bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
5. On the sedan, install the rear door carpet retainers. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement - Front.
6. Install the front door carpet retainer.
7. Install the console assembly.
8. Install the front seats.
