Sound Barrier Replacement - Rear Seat Back

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Stationary) (Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Stationary))Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding) (Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding)) in Seats.
3. Remove the quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Sedan) (Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Sedan)) .
4. If equipped, remove the push-in retainers (1) from the rear seat sound barrier (2) using J 38778 .
5. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Service and Repair) .
6. If equipped, remove the jute overlay from around the speakers.
7. Remove the rear seat sound barrier from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the rear seat sound barrier in the vehicle.
2. If equipped, install the push-in retainers (1).
3. If equipped, install the jute overlay around the speakers.
4. Install the quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Sedan) (Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Sedan)) .
5. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Stationary) (Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Stationary))Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding) (Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding)) in Seats.
7. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
