Blower Motor Resistor: Service and Repair
BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the blower motor resistor.
3. Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector from the blower motor.
4. Loosen, but do NOT remove, the forward screws.
IMPORTANT: The blower motor resistor opening is slotted as access is extremely limited.
5. Remove the rearward screw.
6. Remove the blower motor resistor.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the blower motor resistor.
2. Install the rearward screw to the blower motor control processor.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).
3. Tighten both of the forward screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).
4. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.
5. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor resistor.
6. Install the right side instrument panel insulator.
