Fender Replacement - Front - Left

Removal Procedure






Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

1. Raise and support the hood.
2. Remove the left fender flare. Refer to Flare Replacement - Front Fender () .
3. Remove the left wheelhouse panel (1). Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) in Bumpers.
5. Remove the left rocker molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Stock Molding) ()Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Accessory Molding) () .
6. Remove the left headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
7. Remove left rear inner fender splash guard.




8. Remove the front fender (1) to rocker panel bolt.




9. Remove the 2 front fender to door jamb (3) bolts.




10. Remove the top 2 front fender bolts (1).




11. Remove the 1 bolt (2) from the front of the left front fender.
12. Remove the left front fender (1) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the front fender (1) to the vehicle. Secure the fender with the 1 bolt (2).

Tighten the front fender bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).





2. Install the top 2 front fender (1) bolts.

Tighten the top front fender bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).





3. Install the 2 door jamb (3) to front fender bolts.

Tighten the door jamb to front fender bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).





4. Install the front fender (1) to rocker panel bolt.

Tighten the front fender to rocker panel bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

5. Install left fender rear inner splash guard.
6. Install the left headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
7. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) in Bumpers.
8. Install the left rocker panel molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Stock Molding) ()Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Accessory Molding) () .
9. Install the left wheel house panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
10. Install the left fender flare. Refer to Flare Replacement - Front Fender () .
11. Close hood panel.
