Bracket Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center Support

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the upper instrument panel assembly. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the lower instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Lower (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Lower) .
3. Remove the connector housing bracket from the right I/P center support brace.




4. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

* The left brace nut (10)
* The right brace nut (5)
* The left brace bolt (8)
* The right brace bolt (7)
* The left I/P center support brace (9)
* The right I/P center support brace (6)




Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the left I/P center support brace (9) and the right I/P center support brace (6) to the vehicle. Secure the braces with the following retainers:

* The left brace nut (10)
* The right brace nut (5)
* The right brace bolt (7)
* The left brace bolt (8)

Tighten the I/P center support brace nuts and bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).


2. Install the connector housing bracket to the right I/P center support brace.
3. Install the lower instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Lower (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Lower) .
4. Install the upper instrument panel assembly. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper (Service and Repair) .
