Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center

Removal Procedure





1. Using a taped flat bladed tool, gently pry and release the retaining clips which secure the IP accessory center trim plate (1) to the instrument panel assembly.
2. Disconnect the following components:

* The A/C switch electrical connector
* The hazard warning switch electrical connector
* The rear defogger switch electrical connector
* The passenger seat belt indicator electrical connector

3. Remove the A/C switch, if necessary. Refer to HVAC Control Assembly Replacement (Control Assembly) HVAC Control Assembly Replacement (A/C Switch) in HVAC Systems - Manual.
4. Remove the hazard warning switch, if necessary. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement .
5. Remove the rear defogger switch, if necessary. Refer to Rear Window Defogger Switch Replacement Service and Repair



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear defogger switch, if removed. Refer to Rear Window Defogger Switch Replacement Service and Repair
2. Install the hazard warning switch, if removed. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement .
3. Install the A/C switch, if removed. Refer to HVAC Control Assembly Replacement (Control Assembly) HVAC Control Assembly Replacement (A/C Switch) in HVAC Systems - Manual.
4. Connect the following components:

* The passenger seat belt indicator electrical connector
* The rear defogger switch electrical connector
* The hazard warning switch electrical connector
* The A/C switch electrical connector

5. Install the IP accessory center trim plate (1) to the IP assembly. Ensure that the retaining clips are fully engaged.
