Hydraulic Brake System Flushing

Notice: Refer to Filling the Master Cylinder Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Important: Flush the hydraulic brake system under the following conditions:
^ The DOT rating of the brake fluid is incorrect.
^ The brake fluid contains water or mineral oil.
^ The rubber brake components are swollen, indicating contamination of the brake fluid.

1. Replace all damaged rubber brake components.
2. Use 0.94 liter (1 quart) of Delco Supreme 11 Brake Fluid, GM P/N 12377967, or equivalent DOT 3 brake fluid, in order to flush the hydraulic brake system.
3. Use the Manual Bleeding Procedure in order to flush the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding. Service and Repair
