Center Console Door Will Not Stay Closed (Install Flocking Tape To The Hinge Pins)

2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe
Condition
Some customers may comment that the center console door will not stay closed.
Correction
1. Remove the console box.
2. Cut two pieces of flocking tape 10 mm long and 15 mm wide (3/8 in x 5/8 in).
Important:
See parts information for description of flocking tape.
3. Install the flocking (velvet) tape on the hinge pins as seen in the illustration above.
4. Reinstall the console box.
